Rabbit Girl / Life in a Bubble

  Central Park, NY, 2020

While quarantining, I often thought about the old movie “The Boy in the Bubble.” So many people spent hours staring out their windows and pets became an integral part of life for abating the loneliness and isolation. In this photo, the young woman shields her rabbit from the elements while carrying it around in a plastic bubble container. In a moment of visual poetry, one of the rabbit’s eyes perfectly fills a porthole as it looks curiously out at the passing world.
