Despite pandemic times, one thing that remains a constant or even amplified is the act of worship and the espousing of one’s religious affiliation. From broad sweeping gestures to quiet, contemplative moments, the celebration of spirit and the apparel that the pious wear have held appeal to me. I’m inspired by Shakespeare’s play As You Like It: “ All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players.” And when people are ignited by religious beliefs, they appear to be theatrical or animated in their movements, the street being the stage where they become part of a composition within a camera’s frame
